O'Grady was recalled by the Padres on Saturday.
O'Grady has bounced on and off the fringe of the active roster throughout the year. He's done very little with his limited opportunities, hitting .167/.279/.333 in 44 trips to the plate. Reiss Knehr was optioned in a corresponding move.
