Padres' Luis Liberato: DFA'd by San Diego

Liberato was designated for assignment by the Padres on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old had his contract selected by San Diego in early September and went 0-for-5 in seven games. If Liberato clears waivers, he could head back to Triple-A El Paso, where he has a .261/.354/.541 slash line with 20 home runs and 59 RBI in 99 contests this year.
