Davis is dealing with an ankle injury and will bat fifth as the designated hitter Wednesday against the Phillies, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Davis tweaked his ankle while running the bases Tuesday, so he'll be limited to batting Wednesday after initially being slated to man right field. The injury doesn't appear to be a significant issue since the 24-year-old remains in the lineup.
