Rangers' Jacob Barnes: Signs NRI with Texas

Barnes signed Wednesday with the Rangers on a minor-league deal that includes an invitation to MLB spring training.

Barnes registered a 6.10 ERA with a 10:9 K:BB over 20.2 frames in 22 appearances with the Tigers and Yankees in 2022. He'll battle for a bullpen spot with the Rangers in the Cactus League, but Barnes hasn't been an effective MLB relief option over the past few seasons.
