The Rays selected Hembree's contract from Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Hembree gets a shot with the big club after allowing one run over seven relief innings at Durham. The 34-year-old struggled mightily at the big-league level in 2022, holding a 7.36 ERA across 26 appearances between the Dodgers and Pirates.
