The Reds designated Ramos for assignment Saturday.
Ramos will be pushed off the 40-man roster to make room for Michael Mariot, who was selected from Triple-A on Saturday. Ramos is slashing an impressive .318/.404/.568 through 152 plate appearances in the minors, so other teams could be interested on the waiver wire.
