Lamb took a no-decision despite allowing just one run on six hits and three walks over six innings Tuesday against the Giants.
Lamb allowed an RBI double to Hunter Pence in the first inning but settled down nicely in his first start after spending the start of the season on the disabled list with a back injury. Lamb was solid in the minors last year but struggled in 10 starts for the Reds, as he posted a 5.80 ERA despite a 58:19 K:BB in 49.2 innings. As the strikeout total shows, there were flashes of brilliance, and the only problem with his start Tuesday night was that he was outdueled by his counterpart Jeff Samardzija (8 IP, 1 ER).
