Steer stole a base in the sixth inning but was stranded there. The theft was his 16th, a new career high. He was not a big threat to steal in the minors, but that has changed since becoming a full-timer in the majors last season (15 of 18). Steer, who has 15 home runs, is threatening to post his first 20-20 season.
