Santos was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.
Santos was promoted to the majors Wednesday but didn't see game action during his brief time with the Rockies. The right-hander has seven big-league appearances this year and has given up six earned runs on nine hits with a 10:5 K:BB over 11.1 innings.
