Santos was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday, Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette reports.
Santos was called up Wednesday but didn't make an appearance out of the bullpen. He has an 8.19 ERA and 1.77 WHIP in 40.2 innings across 29 appearances (two starts) in Albuquerque and will return to the minors after outfielder Yonathan Daza (hamstring) was reinstated from the injured list Thursday.
