Rockies' Rio Ruiz: Returns to minors

The Rockies optioned Ruiz to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday.

Ruiz appeared in five games after being recalled July 27, going 1-for-7 with a walk and three strikeouts. He's hit just .165 in 37 games with Baltimore and Colorado this year, so it remains to be seen whether he'll get any more big-league opportunities in 2021.
