Royals' Lorenzo Cain: Playing through tight quad
Cain, who was not in Tuesday's lineup, has been playing with a tight quadriceps, Lee Judge of The Kansas City Star reports.
According to The Associated Press, Manager Ned Yost attributed Cain's absence from Tuesday's card to nothing more than a scheduled rest day. Tired legs, especially for a 31-year-old center fielder, are common this time of year, and Cain hasn't shown much to suggest he's dealing with anything more than normal fatigue. In his last three games, he's gone 6-for-11 with a triple, one RBI and a run.
