Sean Rodriguez: Moves into coaching role

Rodriguez joined the Phillies as a player development instructor in early March, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

The move ends Rodriguez's playing career, though he'd already faded from view, playing just four games in 2020 and none in 2021. He'll call it quits after spending parts of 13 seasons in the majors, hitting .226/.301/.379 with 81 career homers while appearing everywhere except catcher.
