Tigers' JaCoby Jones: Designated for assignment

The Tigers designated Jones for assignment Sunday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Jones was previously sent to Triple-A Toledo on May 23, and now he'll be removed from the 40-man roster to make room for the newly recalled Jason Foley. Jones could be a candidate to be selected off waivers by a club in search of outfield depth.
