Twins' Edgar Garcia: Called up by Minnesota

Garcia was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Garcia made four relief appearances at Triple-A St. Paul after he was claimed off waivers by the Twins on July 30, and he allowed two hits and a walk while striking out six in five scoreless innings. He'll provide an extra bullpen arm after Jorge Alcala (triceps) was placed on the 10-day injured list.
