Twins' Edgar Garcia: Claimed by Minnesota

Garcia was claimed off waivers by the Twins on Friday.

The 24-year-old was designated for assignment by the Reds earlier in the week, and he'll make his way to a new organization. Garcia struggled during a brief stint in the majors for Cincinnati with eight runs allowed over 4.1 frames. He's fared better at Triple-A with a 3.38 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 29:13 K:BB across 24 innings.
