Twins' Joe Mauer: Day off Thursday

Mauer is out of the lineup against Kansas City on Thursday, LaVelle E. Neal of the Star Tribune reports.

Mauer will get a breather after going 2-for-4 during Wednesday's victory over the Yankees. In his place, Tyler Austin will man first base and bat eighth.
