Clay was included in Minnesota's 60-man player pool ahead of summer camp before the 2020 season begins, MLB.com reports.

Clay is a mildly surprising addition to the 60-man player pool since he wasn't on the 40-man roster, but he was in big-league camp and showed promise last season in the minors. He had a 9.3 K/9 between Double-A and Triple-A Rochester last season. He'll likely spend time with Minnesota's alternate training site unless the major league bullpen needs depth.
