Benintendi took All-Star closer Kirby Yates deep in the ninth inning, but it still wasn't enough as the White Sox were unable to rally further. Despite hitting his 15th home run, Benintendi's horrendous 2024 season continues with a .214/.278/.375 slash line through 111 games. However, he has been a bit more productive of late and has gone 5-for-15 with two doubles and two homers in his past five games.
