White Sox's Jesse Scholtens: Contract selected by White Sox

Scholtens had his contract selected by the White Sox on Friday.

Scholtens will join a major-league roster for the first time in his career, replacing Jose Ruiz after Ruiz was designated for assignment Friday. Scholtens produced a 4.10 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with 92 strikeouts over 83.1 innings in 37 appearances with Triple-A El Paso last season.
