Davis was outrighted to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, Brendan Kuty of the Star-Ledger reports.
This move was a result of Mark Teixeira being activated from the DL. The Yankees started Davis for a stretch in mid-June, but the veteran went just 3-for-14 with five strikeouts. Rob Refsnyder will backup Teixeira at first base.
