Marte is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Cubs.

Marte almost always plays versus lefties but will begin this one on the bench as southpaw Shota Imanaga toes the rubber for the Cubs. Mark Vientos will start at designated hitter and Brett Baty will play third base.

An incredible 23 of Schwarber's blasts this season have come off left-handed pitching, breaking the MLB record for a left-handed hitter that had been held by Matt Olson (2021) and Hall of Famer Stan Musial (1949). Schwarber suddenly has a very realistic chance at setting a new Phillies record for home runs in a season, having gone yard six times in the last 10 contests.

Ozuna went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a pair of walks in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Nationals.

Ozuna cut Atlanta's deficit to 4-2 in the eighth inning with a 404-foot blast off Jackson Rutledge. It was Ozuna's 21st homer of the year and his first in 33 games. It's been a disappointing year overall for the 34-year-old Ozuna, though he's swung the bat better of late, going 13-for-42 (.310) with an .884 OPS in his last 12 contests.

Devers went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Wednesday in a 4-3 win over St. Louis.

Devers tied the score at 2-2 in the third inning with a 376-foot poke over the right-field wall. It was his third homer over his past five games and increased his total on the season to 34 long balls. Devers has hit more homers in a regular season only once in his career -- in 2021, when he smacked 38 home runs while with Boston.

Schwarber went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-5 extra-innings loss to the Marlins.

The veteran slugger got the Phillies on the board by taking Edward Cabrera deep in the first inning. It was Schwarber's fourth long ball in the last nine games and his 54th of the season, and with five games left on the regular-season schedule, he's four homers short of Ryan Howard's franchise record of 58 set in 2006.

Herrera went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a walk and a second run scored in Tuesday's 9-8 win over the Giants.

Herrera sparked the Cardinals' comeback effort with his blast in the seventh inning. He's homered in three straight games and has his safely in 11 of his last 12 contests, going 14-for-45 (.311) with five long balls in that productive stretch. For the season, the 25-year-old is on the brink of a 20-homer campaign -- he's hit 19 of them while adding 65 RBI, 53 runs scored, eight stolen bases and a .283/.375/.471 slash line through 103 games this year.

Ohtani allowed five hits and struck out eight without walking a batter over six scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Tuesday. He also went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored as a batter in the Dodgers' 5-4 loss.

Ohtani crossed the 90-pitch mark for the first time this season, throwing 63 of 91 pitches for strikes in another stellar start. He's kept runs off the board throughout September, allowing just eight hits with an 18:2 K:BB through 14.2 innings across his three starts this month. Ohtani is expected to be in the Dodgers' playoff rotation, so it's a big positive to see him looking both in form and fully stretched out in his final tuneup before the postseason. He's posted a 2.87 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 62:9 K:BB through 47 innings across 14 appearances this season.

Del Castillo hit a two-run home run in his lone at-bat in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Dodgers.

Del Castillo contributed to the Diamondbacks' comeback effort with a seventh-inning blast to pull them within a run. This was his second homer in his last five games, though he's mostly been limited to bench duties recently. The rookie is up to four homers, 16 RBI, nine runs scored and a .246/.281/.404 slash line over 40 big-league contests (121 plate appearances).

Bell is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Atlanta.

Bell isn't dealing with any known injury, but this will be his second straight day out of the lineup. Luis Garcia is making his first-ever start at first base for the Nationals.

McCutchen is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game in Cincinnati.

It's a routine day off for the veteran. Joey Bart is getting a start at designated hitter and will bat sixth for the Pirates.
