  • Leody Taveras CF | BAL

Orioles' Leody Taveras: Hitting bench Monday

Taveras is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.

Taveras will hit the bench for the third time in six games as the Orioles kick off a three-game set against the Guardians. Even though Luis Robert's (hamstring) recent move to the injured list has eased the logjam in the Baltimore outfield a bit, Taveras could still be in store for a part-time role if the Orioles elect to prioritize Blaze Alexander in right field ahead of him.

  • Colton Cowser CF | BAL

Orioles' Colton Cowser: Left out of lineup Monday

Cowser is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.

After going 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Red Sox while lefty Payton Tolle started for the opposition, the left-handed-hitting Cowser will be held out of the lineup while the Orioles face a second consecutive lefty starter (Joey Cantillo). Rece Hinds will take Cowser's spot in center field and will bat eighth.

  • Chase DeLauter RF | CLE

Guardians' Chase DeLauter: Not starting Monday, but improving

Guardians manager Stephen Vogt said that DeLauter (wrist), who is out of the lineup for Monday's contest against the Orioles, is "feeling a lot better" and will do some hitting pregame, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Vogt reiterated that he considers DeLauter's sprained right wrist a "day-to-day" situation that isn't going to force him to the injured list. Though Angel Martinez will get the nod in right field in the series opener, DeLauter could be back in the lineup Tuesday if he doesn't experience any setbacks following his workout Monday.

  • Tyler O'Neill RF | BAL

Orioles' Tyler O'Neill: Set to miss additional time

Manager Craig Albernaz said Monday that O'Neill's shoulder isn't responding to rehab the way they'd hoped, and he's dealing with a "significant" injury, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

O'Neill was eligible to come off the 10-day injured list this week, but that isn't going to happen, as he'll miss more time with his strained right rotator cuff. The 31-year-old has had an injury-marred two seasons in Baltimore. After appearing in just 54 games last season, O'Neill has been limited to 85 appearances in 2026. He has a miserable .206/.296/.383 slash line across 139 career games with the Orioles.

  • Royals' Isaac Collins: Out of Kansas City lineup

Collins is absent from the lineup for Monday's tilt versus the Diamondbacks.

Collins will grab a seat after starting each of the previous four contests. Matthew Lugo will patrol left field as the Royals open a series against the Diamondbacks.

  • Royals' Jac Caglianone: Remains out with elbow injury

Caglianone (elbow) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Caglianone will miss a second consecutive start after being diagnosed with a Grade 1 left flexor strain. The Royals aren't anticipating Caglianone requiring a stint on the injured list, with manager Matt Quatraro noting that the 23-year-old is feeling "better" but not scheduled to do any hitting or throwing Monday, per Joel Penfield of KCSN.com. John Rave will play right field for the Royals in the series opener.

  • Chase DeLauter RF | CLE

Guardians' Chase DeLauter: Remaining out of lineup Monday

DeLauter (wrist) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

The Guardians will hold DeLauter out of the starting nine for a third straight contest while he tends to a sprained right wrist. According to MLB.com, DeLauter was expected to test out his wrist Sunday by swinging a bat, but it's not clear how he fared in that workout. Angel Martinez will draw the start in right field Monday and would stand to benefit the most from a playing-time standpoint if DeLauter requires a trip to the injured list.

  • Riley Greene LF | DET

Tigers' Riley Greene: Doubles twice, drives in two in loss

Greene went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in Sunday's 3-2, 10-inning loss to the Guardians.

Greene couldn't quite match the two home runs he recorded Saturday, though he still had another strong performance. The outfielder just returned from the injured list Tuesday after missing a few weeks with a hamstring strain. After recording only two hits and two RBI total in his first three games back, Greene now has six hits and six RBI over his last two contests. It looks like he's settling back into an offensive groove, though with the Tigers sitting at 65-78, the 25-year-old star may get some rest down the stretch as Detroit turns its attention to 2027.

  • Tristan Peters CF | CHW

White Sox's Tristan Peters: Three runs scored in win

Peters went 3-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and three runs scored during Sunday's 10-1 win over the Twins.

Peters has doubles in back-to-back games as he shows some power for the first time since the end of August, when he hit homers in five straight games. The 26-year-old is batting .400 (8-for-20) in September with a stolen base and an RBI. On the season, Peters is slashing .285/.348/.474 with 12 home runs, 53 RBI, and eight stolen bases over 138 games in an impressive rookie season for the former Savannah Banana.

  • Sam Antonacci LF | CHW

White Sox's Sam Antonacci: Three doubles in win

Antonacci went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two RBI and two runs scored Sunday against the Twins.

Antonacci drove in both his runs with a deep double to center field in the sixth inning. The 23-year-old broke out of a mild September slump, as he was batting .125 (2-for-16) with one RBI through his first five games this month. The rookie's strong contact and on-base skills (.268 batting average and .367 OBP) have helped him maintain a solid grip on the leadoff spot in the White Sox lineup.
