Joshua Baez LF | STL
Cardinals' Joshua Baez: Average falls to. 156 after 0-for-4 day
Baez went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Saturday's 12-3 loss to the Phillies.
After slugging home runs in his first three MLB at-bats following his promotion from Triple-A Memphis, Baez has gone 2-for-29 with a home run, two steals and a 3:12 BB:K in his subsequent 34 trips to the plate. Baez's struggles with making consistent contact may continue to suppress his batting average -- which now sits at .156 -- but his impressive power/speed profile along with his stranglehold on an everyday role should still make him worthy of rostering in most fantasy leagues.

Jake McCarthy LF | COL
Rockies' Jake McCarthy: Tallies 23rd steal
McCarthy went 2-for-4 with a stolen base Saturday against the Guardians.
McCarthy made an early impact with his speed, reaching base on an infield single to lead off the first inning before proceeding to steal second base. He now has 23 steals this season, and he has swiped three bases in his last five games. McCarthy has remained a strong fantasy contributor, hitting .313 with three homers, nine RBI, 17 runs scored and six stolen bases across 19 games in August.

Lourdes Gurriel LF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Lourdes Gurriel: Plays back-to-back games in left field
Gurriel (adductor) started in left field and went 0-for-3 with an RBI for Triple-A Reno on Saturday.
This was the fourth rehab game for Gurriel and second of a back-to-back sequence playing left field. Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo told Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports that there have been convesations about Gurriel's lower-body strength and making sure he's ready to return. The back-to-back games in the field indicate he's on the verge of returning; however, a surplus of outfielders on the 26-man roster means Gurriel may not have an everyday spot in the starting lineup when he returns.

Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, a hit-by-pitch and two total runs scored in Saturday's 11-5 win over the Diamondbacks.

J.J. Bleday LF | CIN
Reds' JJ Bleday: Hits for cycle Saturday
Bleday went 4-for-6, hitting for the cycle with three RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 11-5 win over the Diamondbacks.

He completed the feat by singling in the fourth and hitting a leadoff homer in the sixth. This was just the third multi-hit effort in August for Bleday, who is batting a mere .205 (15-for-73) over 21 contests this month. He doubled his count of extra-base hits for the month with Saturday's performance. Overall, Bleday is batting .224 with a .784 OPS, a career-high 21 homers, two triples, 14 doubles, 51 RBI, 49 runs scored and six stolen bases over 102 contests. He continues to see the bulk of the playing time in left field, and that's likely to remain true while Michael Toglia recovers from a dislocated right shoulder.
