Brenton Doyle CF | CHW
White Sox's Brenton Doyle: Drives in four
Doyle went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's 10-4 win over the Rangers.
Doyle went 4-for-10 with six RBI during the White Sox's three-game series against the Rangers. The outfielder had fallen into a part-time role prior to this, but with a little momentum on his side, he may be able to carve out more starts in center field moving forward. Doyle is batting .221 with an .587 OPS three homers, 12 RBI, 26 runs scored, six doubles and 12 stolen bases over 65 games between the White Sox and the Rockies this year.

Tristan Peters CF | CHW
White Sox's Tristan Peters: Stays white-hot in win
Peters went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 10-4 win over the Rangers.
Peters has homered in five straight games after going deep off reliever Robby Ahlstrom in the fifth inning Wednesday. The power sure now accounts for nearly half of Peters' homers on the year. He's batting .282 with an .821 OPS, 12 long balls, 52 RBI, 53 runs scored, 27 doubles, three triples and seven stolen bases across 128 contests.

Nathan Church CF | STL
Cardinals' Nathan Church: Swipes bag Wednesday
Church went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, two RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 8-7 loss to the Orioles.
Church has logged an extra-base hit in each of the last three games in which he's logged an at-bat. The outfielder continues to see strong-side platoon usage in center field. He's hitting .243 with a .663 OPS, 10 home runs, nine steals, 44 RBI, 43 runs scored, 11 doubles and two triples over 114 contests this season.

Bryan Torres LF | STL
Cardinals' Bryan Torres: Collects three hits, steal
Torres went 3-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 8-7 loss to the Orioles.
This was Torres' first multi-hit performance in August. The arrival of top prospect Joshua Baez has taken a chunk out of Torres' usage in left field over the last week-plus, though he's still an option at second base as well. Overall, Torres is hitting .252 with a .701 OPS, four home runs, two steals, 17 RBI, 14 runs scored, one double and two triples across 136 plate appearances in the majors this season.

Leody Taveras CF | BAL
Orioles' Leody Taveras: Homers early in win
Taveras went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 8-7 win over the Cardinals.
Taveras' homer was part of a five-run first inning for the Orioles. Coming into Wednesday, the outfielder had just one extra-base hit over his prior 11 games, going 10-for-39 (.256) at the plate in that span. For the season, he's batting .228 with a .662 OPS, eight homers, 49 RBI, 52 runs scored, 13 doubles, six triples and 10 stolen bases through 116 contests. Taveras' playing time has trended up lately, and it should remain consistent as he takes over the starting job in right field in the absence of Tyler O'Neill (shoulder), who landed on the injured list Wednesday.

Nathan Lukes RF | TOR
Blue Jays' Nathan Lukes: Clubs game-deciding homer
Lukes went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's win against Kansas City.
Lukes was almost on his front knee as he golfed a fourth-inning pitch over the right-field wall to bring home the only runs of the game. The 32-year-old has hit three long balls in his last five games as he tries to ramp up his production in August. So far this month he is slashing .218/.244/.372 with four homers, 13 RBI and seven runs in 23 games.

Sal Frelick RF | MIL
Brewers' Sal Frelick: Collects three hits in return
Frelick went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, two RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's 8-1 win over the Mets.
Frelick made an immediate impact in his first game since July 17, driving in two runs with a single in the second inning and reaching base a season-high four times overall. The outfielder had been sidelined for over a month due to a shoulder strain. Prior to the injury, Frelick had struggled to a .630 OPS with four homers, 14 doubles, 34 RBI, 33 runs scored and six stolen bases across 90 games, making Wednesday's three-hit return an encouraging start.

TJ Friedl CF | CIN
Reds' TJ Friedl: Placed on waivers
The Reds placed Friedl on outright waivers Wednesday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
With the Reds most likely out of contention for a postseason appearance, the team will now attempt to shed payroll for the final month of the season by exposing Friedl to waivers. The 31-year-old has endured the worst season of his career up to this point, batting just .158 with a .476 OPS through 253 plate appearances. It's unlikely that another team will be willing to take on the $700,000 remaining on his contract for minimal production, so Friedl will presumably clear waivers and remain with the Reds for the rest of the year.

Troy Johnston RF | COL
Rockies' Troy Johnston: Goes deep in huge win
Johnston went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer Wednesday in the 13-1 win against the Nationals.
Johnston pulled a Will Dion pitch to deep right field to start a rally of 13 unanswered runs for Colorado. This was Johnston's first deep ball since June 14, as he's been scuffling at the plate since the All-Star break with a .221 batting average and 12:4 K:BB in 22 games, including Wednesday.

Cole Carrigg CF | COL
Rockies' Cole Carrigg: Two-run homer in win
Carrigg went 2-for-6 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 13-1 victory over the Nationals.
Carrigg hit his first home run since July 26 in the fifth inning to extend the Rockies' lead to three runs. This was Carrigg's fifth multi-hit game in August, though he has been slumping at the plate recently, having gone 3-for-28 in his last seven games prior to Wednesday. The rookie is batting .269 with an .808 OPS, with six homers, 17 doubles, three triples, and 36 RBI in 64 games this season.
