The Astros recalled Delgado from Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Delgado will give the Astros some extra depth in the infield for Sunday's regular-season finale. He's appeared in 19 games for the Astros this season, going 9-for-37 (.243) with one home run and four RBI in the majors. Ronel Blanco was optioned to the minors in a corresponding move.

Yankees' Cam Schlittler: Starting Game 1 of Wild Card Series
Schlittler will start against the Red Sox on Tuesday in Game 1 of the American League Wild Card Series.
There had been some talk that New York might go with lefty Max Fried in the series opener, but manager Aaron Boone ultimately settled on Schlittler as his Game 1 starter. Schlittler is the favorite to win the AL Cy Young Award after he went 14-6 with a 1.95 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 239:49 K:BB over 193.2 innings for the Yankees during the regular season.

Royals' James McArthur: Back from injured list
The Royals activated McArthur (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Sunday.
McArthur began the year on the shelf and ultimately required a third elbow procedure in May to combat continued soreness and inflammation in the region. If he ends up pitching in Sunday's season finale for Kansas City, it will be McArthur's first big-league appearance since 2024.

The Royals placed Gonsolin on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to an allergic reaction.
James McArthur (elbow) was reinstated to take Gonsolin's spot on the active roster for the final day of the regular season. Gonsolin spent most of the year on the mend from Tommy John surgery with an internal brace, returning for a lone big-league appearance Sept. 22, when he allowed five runs on four hits and three walks while striking out five over 2.2 innings against the White Sox.

O'Hoppe was optioned to the ACL Rangers on Sunday.
The move corresponds with the Rangers recalling utility man Cam Cauley from Triple-A Round Rock. O'Hoppe has appeared in 10 games for the Rangers since being acquired from the Angels in late July, going 6-for-17 with an RBI and five runs scored with Texas.

Cauley has appeared in 34 major-league games this season and has a .626 OPS with one steal and a solo home run across 65 plate appearances.

The Guardians optioned Yoho to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday, Roundtable.io reports.
Yoho gave up two runs on three hits and a wild pitch while recording just one out Saturday, bringing his ERA up to 4.93 in 34 big-league appearances in 2026, and he will now head back to the minors to conclude the regular season. Austin Peterson replaces Yoho on the active roster and in the Cleveland bullpen.

The Guardians recalled Peterson from Triple-A Columbus on Sunday, Roundtable.io reports.
Craig Yoho was demoted after allowing two runs in just one-third of an inning Saturday, and it will be Peterson who takes Yoho's spot in the Cleveland bullpen. Peterson has made just one appearance for the Guardians to date, tossing two scoreless innings with three strikeouts against Detroit in his major-league debut back on Sept. 5. The right-hander turned in a 4.41 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 107:38 K:BB over 102 innings with Columbus this season.

The Red Sox transferred White (foot) to the 60-day injured list Sunday.
A 40-man spot was needed for the returning Tanner Houck (elbow), and this was the logical move with White having recently undergone Lisfranc surgery on his right foot. White ends the 2026 regular season with a .246/.289/.398 slash line, six homers, 29 RBI, 27 runs scored and five stolen bases across 204 major-league plate appearances between Atlanta and Boston.
