Griffin tallied 22 points (7-15 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, four steals and two blocked shots over 32 minutes for Westchester in a 113-103 victory versus Ciudad de Mexico on Dec. 21.
Griffin was waived by Rio Grande Valley on Dec. 14 and was subsequently picked up by Westchester. The 21-year-old exceeded 10 minutes only once in his four games with the Vipers, but he has averaged 25 minutes in two contests since joining his new team. Griffin impressed with his double-double and defensive stats in Westchester's final game of 2021, so he could continue seeing significant opportunity when the G League regular season kicks off in early January.
