DeRozan recorded 31 points (10-20 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 9-9 FT), six rebounds, five assists and two steals in 38 minutes during Sunday's 109-103 victory over the Knicks.
DeRozan continued to look like the Bulls' top player Sunday, adding to what has been an outstanding start to his first season in Chicago. The veteran forward is not only averaging his most points per game (26.8) since 2016-17, but he's emerged as an increasingly reliable outside shooter after mostly eschewing the three-point line throughout his career. While his 0.9 triples per game are still below average for a starting forward, DeRozan is converting his attempts at a respectable 36.4 percent rate to keep opposing defenses honest. He also hasn't been hurt by the NBA's crackdown on granting fouls for non-basketball moves, as DeRozan is averaging an excellent 8.2 free-throw attempts per game and converting at a stellar 89.2 percent clip.
