Coty Clarke: Won't be re-signed by Boston

Clarke's second 10-day contract expired Sunday, and he won't be re-signed by the Celtics for the remainder of the season, Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe reports.

Clarke has only appeared in three games for a total of six minutes during his stint with the Celtics. By ridding themselves of Clarke, the Celtics will have an extra roster spot available for the final couple of weeks before the playoffs, which would give the team some flexibility if they need to add a player to fill a specific need due to an injury. Look for Clarke to head back to the D-League's Maine Red Claws.
