Fantasy Basketball Week 23: Who's hot, who's not and a DFS play for Friday
Who's hot, who's not and DFS advice for Friday.

The Phoenix Suns unexpectedly got their floor general back in action on Thursday and came out on top in a barnburner at Ball Arena. Both members of the road team's backcourt thrived against their Western Conference rival Denver Nuggets. We'll go over some of the most impressive and least impressive stats lines from the five-game slate before identifying a DFS steal for Friday's seven-game slate.
Who's hot
Paul returned to action for the Suns on Thursday but didn't stop his young backcourt partner from putting together an impressive performance. Booker poured in 49 points and 10 assists in an impressive win against the Nuggets. Booker has long been the top option for Phoenix and it doesn't appear like having Paul back on the court will affect his recent surge much. He's averaged 29.9 points, 7.3 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game since the All-Star break.
The Memphis Grizzlies' Ja Morant is in danger of missing the remainder of the regular season with a knee injury and Bane has picked up the slack with his team's star point guard on the bench. The second-year sniper has tallied 25.7 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per contest during Morant's three-game absence. He'll likely continue to act as Memphis's top scorer until Morant returns.
I highlighted Holiday as my favorite DFS play on Thursday and the Milwaukee Bucks point guard didn't disappoint. He recorded a double-double against the Washington Wizards with 24 points and 10 assists. Holiday's averaged 23 points, 6.8 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per contest over his previous five games while eclipsing 20 points four times. He should continue to excel if Giannis Antetokounmpo or Khris Middleton miss more time in the coming days.
Who's not
Haliburton's well-rounded game has helped him save face lately but his shooting has been horrendous. The Indiana Pacers guard tallied nine points and eight assists on 4-of-9 shooting on Thursday. He hasn't made more than four field goals in game in his past five outings. Halibuton's shot 36 percent form the field and 26.5 percent from deep during that span. His workload is too large to worry about his slump lasting very long, though. The Pacers are invested in keeping him as their point guard of the future.
DFS target
The Charlotte Hornets' interior defense has been questionable for most of the season and will face one of the league's best rebounders on Friday. Gobert's numbers have dipped of late, but he recorded 23 points and 21 rebounds in his lone game against Buzz City this season. His March averages of 14.4 points and 13.2 rebounds per game make rostering him at under $8K on DraftKings and FanDuel a no-brainer.
