The Hornets announced Monday that Plumlee (calf) has cleared the NBA's health and safety protocols and will report to the G League's Greensboro Swarm for conditioning and a rehab assignment.
Before beginning his quarantine Dec. 4, Plumlee had missed the Hornets' prior four games with a calf injury. The COVID-19-related absence might have allowed Plumlee to move past that injury, but he'll still need at least one or two practices in the G League to get reconditioned for game action. Depending on how Plumlee responds to his initial workouts after coming out of quarantine, he could be ready to rejoin the Hornets on their ongoing road trip. Plumlee will remain out for Monday's game in Dallas, leaving Wednesday's game in San Antonio as his earliest possible return date.
