The Cavaliers waived Pangos on Saturday.

Pangos signed with Cleveland in September following a productive run in Europe the past few seasons, but he wasn't able to translate his success to the NBA level. Even when a path to more playing time opened up in late December when Ricky Rubio suffered a season-ending ACL tear, Pangos couldn't gain much traction in Cleveland's rotation. Pangos hadn't appeared in any of Cleveland's last three games and ends his time with the Cavaliers with averages of 1.6 points and 1.3 assists in 6.9 minutes per contest over 24 appearances. According to Eurohoops.net, Pangos is expected to return overseas and join up with Russian powerhouse CSKA Moscow.
