Hunter will start Wednesday's game against the Clippers, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports.
Ben Simmons is out for the season with a torn Achilles, opening the door for Hunter to step into the starting five. The 28-year-old appeared in only two games after being traded to Sacramento last season, and he averaged 13.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.7 steals across 26.1 minutes per contest in 45 regular-season games (25 starts) between the Kings and Cavaliers.
