Malik Newman: Almost double-doubles off bench

Newman logged 24 points (10-24 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 0-2 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and one block across 38 minutes during Friday's 118-113 loss to the Long Island Nets.

Newman was one rebound short of logging his first G League double-double this year. However, the backcourt player will receive limited chances to record many points and rebounds if he remains a backup. The Charge team prefers utilizing Justin James as its primary shooting guard.
