Head coach Ime Udoka said Monday that Adams could be out "a week or two" due to his right soleus strain, Lachard Binkley of SI.com reports.
The veteran big man can be considered week-to-week until the Rockets offer another update on his status. In the meantime, Clint Capela is expected to see increased playing time behind Alperen Sengun. Jabari Smith is also likely to see more minutes at center in Adams' stead.
