Waters produced 18 points (6-19 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four assists and two steals across 30 minutes in Puerto Rico's 90-79 loss to South Sudan in the Paris Olympics on Sunday.
Waters proved to be Puerto Rico's No. 2 option behind Jose Alvarado in the squad's loss Sunday. The 26-year-old Waters played for the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association in 2023-24, and he averaged 20.8 points, 5.8 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.9 steals across 21.8 minutes in 51 regular-season games. Waters has also spent time in the NBA and the G League, with his longest NBA stint including 26 games with Boston in 2020-21, during which he averaged 3.8 points and 2.4 assists across 9.2 minutes per game.
