Wizards' Drew Gooden: Struggles through season with calf injury

Gooden suffered from a lingering calf injury and struggled to find playing time during the 2015-16 season, as he only saw action in 30 games.

Gooden suffered a right calf injury in November that caused him to miss all of December and major portions of January. By the time he was fully healthy in February, Gooden had fallen far down Washington's depth chart. He ended the season playing in only three games since the start of March. The 34-year-old does not plan on retiring, and Washington has the option to pick up the final year of his contract. Gooden's value next season will be contingent on where he ends up.
