  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Solid bench production continues

Eason logged nine points (4-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist and two steals in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 117-107 loss to the Timberwolves. Eason turned in another decent performance, maintaining top-100 value despite inconsistent playing time. At this stage, his minutes seem to be dictated by who is and isn't available on any given night, making him a somewhat flighty asset. With that said, he is making the most of his time on the floor, averaging 10.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 0.9 three-pointers and 2.3 combined steals and blocks. He's picked up at least one steal or block in all nine of his outings this season.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Delivers strong performance

Eason contributed 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-6 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 27 minutes during Monday's 109-93 victory over Boston. Eason made an impact on both ends of the floor, knocking down three triples while matching Alperen Sengun for the team lead in blocks. He also played more minutes than starting guard Amen Thompson, continuing to carve out a substantial role off the bench. Eason's combination of perimeter shooting and defensive production gives him intriguing fantasy upside, particularly if his playing time remains near 30 minutes.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Double-double off bench Friday

Eason posted 11 points (4-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 26 minutes off the bench during Friday's 116-111 loss to the Mavericks. It was the first double-double of the season for Eason, who continues to see a big workload in the frontcourt while Steven Adams (calf) and now Alperen Sengun (back) are on the shelf. Both big men are expected to return in the near future, but Eason's role on the second unit should be fairly secure even when the roster is at full strength. Through six games this season, the fifth-year forward is averaging 10.3 points, 6.7 boards, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks in 24.8 minutes a contest.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Back to bench Friday

Eason is not listed in the starting lineup for Friday's game against Dallas, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. Eason started in Wednesday's 132-100 win over the Bucks. While Alperen Sengun (back) will miss a second consecutive contest, Eason will head back to the bench, and Clint Capela will draw a turn with the first unit.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Starting sans Sengun

Eason will start Wednesday's game against the Bucks, Lachard Binkley of SI.com reports. With Alperen Sengun (back) out, Jabari Smith will start at center while Eason enters the first unit for the first time this season. The 25-year-old forward has logged at least 27 minutes in three straight games, averaging 14.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks across 30.3 minutes per tilt during that span.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Strikes for 19 in Saturday's win

Eason produced 19 points (8-15 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, one block and one steal across 31 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 121-114 victory over the Hawks. The fifth-year forward produced a season high in points as he puts his ejection in the season opener behind him. Over the last two games, Eason is averaging 15.5 points, 4.5 boards and 2.0 steals in 29.0 minutes while shooting 52.2 percent from the floor as one of the key pieces of the Rockets' second unit.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Drops 12 points, adds three steals

Eason closed with 12 points (4-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and four steals across 27 minutes during Friday's 114-110 victory over San Antonio. Eason made amends after being ejected during the season opener, producing a strong two-way effort as Houston pulled out a narrow victory. Perhaps more importantly, Eason played 27 minutes off the bench, perhaps easing any concerns fantasy managers had regarding his role. Assuming he can flirt with 25 minutes on most nights, he should be able to put up backend value in standard league, particularly for those seeking steals.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Ejected Wednesday

Eason was ejected in the first quarter of Wednesday's game against Dallas after being assessed a Flagrant 2 foul, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports. He'll finish with two points (1-2 FG), one rebound and one steal in three minutes. The 25-year-old forward was tossed after shoving P.J. Washington. With Eason unavailable the rest of the way, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Reed Sheppard could see increased playing time.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Perfect from deep Thursday

Eason contributed 12 points (5-7 FG, 2-2 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist across 17 minutes in Thursday's 116-89 preseason victory over Oklahoma City. Eason made both of his three-point attempts and displayed improved ballhandling, including a stepback triple over Isaiah Hartenstein. The forward has worked on his dribbling throughout the offseason and appears more comfortable creating his own offense. His efficient showing capped a productive preseason and could help him expand his offensive responsibilities alongside his established defensive contributions.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Returns Thursday

Eason (undisclosed) returned to Thursday's preseason game against the Thunder with 5:48 remaining in the third quarter, per the broadcast. Eason jogged back to the locker room early in the third quarter. However, he returned to the bench and checked back in shortly thereafter.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Exits to locker room

Eason (undisclosed) exited to the locker room in the third quarter of Thursday's preseason game against the Thunder, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. Eason jogged back to the locker room but has since returned to the bench, per Guillory. Still, it's unclear if he'll return to Thursday's preseason finale.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Staying with Rockets

Eason agreed Thursday to a five-year, $81.5 million deal (fully guaranteed) to remain in Houston, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Eason was selected by the Rockets with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Since then, the 25-year-old has appeared in 221 regular-season games for Houston, averaging 10.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.7 blocks and 1.3 steals over 23.6 minutes. Eason was on the radar of a few teams around the NBA, especially the Lakers. However, he will remain in Houston, where he will likely see most of his minutes off the bench. Eason isn't the most consistent scorer, and injuries have also been an issue. Still, he has value due to his defensive prowess and ability on the glass, which should come in handy for a Rockets team looking to win a championship.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Struggles with shot in Game 6

Eason contributed 14 points (5-14 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and three steals across 37 minutes during Friday's 98-78 loss to the Lakers in Game 6 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Eason had trouble finding the bottom of the net in Game 6, although, to be fair, it was a common theme for the other members of the starting lineup as well. With Houston eliminated from postseason play, the 24-year-old will now turn his attention toward restricted free agency. Eason averaged 10.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.5 blocks and 1.2 steals across 25.8 minutes per game during the 2025-26 campaign over 60 regular-season games. With 139 appearances combined in the last three regular seasons, Eason will need to prove he can stay healthy. While the 2022 No. 17 overall pick should continue to hold a stable role in the rotation with the Rockets, assuming he re-signs, the lack of consistency is something fantasy managers will need to consider moving ahead.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Pops for 18 in Wednesday's win

Eason posted 18 points (6-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 99-93 victory over the Lakers in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Making his third straight start in place of Kevin Durant (ankle), Eason stepped up once again after he delivered 20 points in Game 4. The fourth-year forward is averaging 13.8 points, 7.0 boards, 2.4 steals, 1.6 assists and 1.6 threes in the first round so far, but the Rockets are still holding out hope Durant could return before the end of the series.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Strong overall effort in Game 4 win

Eason supplied 20 points (7-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, one block and five steals over 30 minutes during Sunday's 115-96 victory over the Lakers in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. The 20 points and five steals were both career playoff highs for the fourth-year forward, as he started his second straight game in place of Kevin Durant (ankle). Eason is averaging 12.8 points, 7.5 boards, 3.0 steals, 1.8 assists and 1.5 threes through four contests to begin the postseason, and the Rockets will likely need another strong performance from him in Game 5 on Wednesday back in Los Angeles if they're going to avoid elimination.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Records four steals in loss

Eason posted five points (2-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, two assists and four steals over 46 minutes during Friday's 112-108 overtime loss to the Lakers in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Eason moved back into the starting lineup, playing a whopping 46 minutes. Despite recording four steals, Eason's lack of impact on the offensive end cannot be overlooked. It continues what has been an ongoing struggle for Eason, who has now shot just 6-for-23 in the past two games. Now trailing 3-0 in the series, Houston will need to turn things around in a hurry, starting in Game 4 on Sunday.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Inefficient 10 points in Game 2

Eason posted 10 points (4-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt), eight rebounds, one assist and one block across 27 minutes during Tuesday's 101-94 loss to the Lakers in Game 2 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. After going a perfect 7-for-7 from the field in Game 1 on Saturday, Eason wasn't nearly as efficient in Game 2. Josh Okogie has started back-to-back games for the Rockets this postseason, so it looks like Houston is content with Eason operating in a reserve capacity for the time being.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Coming off bench

Eason will come off the bench for Saturday's Game 1 against the Lakers, according to Rockets reporter Matt Thomas. After starting the regular season finale with multiple starters sitting out, Eason is back with the second unit. He may see additional minutes, however, as Kevin Durant (knee) is out for Game 1.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Goes for 20 points in victory

Eason posted 20 points (8-17 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds and three assists over 24 minutes during Sunday's 132-101 victory over Memphis. Eason ceded significant time to Jabari Smith over the course of the season, but Eason got the green light for production at the four with the first unit sidelined during the regular-season finale. An eight-game stretch of single-digit scoring totals in March brought an end to his stint with the first unit, but the demotion didn't affect his bottom line. He still logged significant minutes and remained a decent source of rebounding for the squad.

  • Rockets' Tari Eason: Questionable for Thursday

Eason (illness) is questionable for Thursday's game against the 76ers. Eason was a late addition to the injury report. With Thursday being the front end of a back-to-back set, the Rockets may err on the side of caution.
