Beau Allen: Released by Patriots

The Patriots released Allen (leg) on Thursday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Allen was unable to play for the entirety of the 2020 season due to a leg injury. The last time the defensive player stepped foot on the field was during the 2019 campaign, when he recorded 10 tackles (four solo). While the status of Allen's leg injury is currently unclear, the 29-year-old will aim to fill a spot at defensive tackle elsewhere in 2021.
