Brian Johnson: Time up in Big Easy

New Orleans waived Johnson on Friday, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

The Saints will make their fourth kicking change of the season, dropping Johnson after a four-game run on the roster. Though Johnson was a perfect 8-for-8 on field-goal attempts, he ended up losing the job after misfiring on two extra-point attempts in a two-point loss to the Titans last week. The Saints signed Brett Maher off their practice squad to take over kicking duties beginning with Sunday's game against the Eagles.
