Shorts suffered a season-ending knee injury during Sunday's game against the Chargers, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Shorts is believed to have done extensive damage to his right knee Sunday, and although exactly what injuries he incurred are not known yet, the veteran's season has already been deemed over. With Shorts sidelined going forward, Russell Shepard and Freddie Martino could see more work opposite Mike Evans, with Adam Humphries (concussion) a candidate to receive even more targets from his slot position when healthy.
