Cowboys' Brandon Knight: Heads to IR

The Cowboys placed Knight (knee) on injured reserve Saturday, David Helman of the Cowboys' official site reports.

Knight underwent knee surgery Tuesday and will be required to miss at least three games due to his placement on IR. With Tyron Smith (neck) also on IR, the Cowboys activated Cameron Erving (knee) from IR to start at left tackle against a menacing Washington pass rush. Knight is eligible to return Week 11 against the Vikings.
