David Cobb: Released by Titans on Tuesday

Cobb was released by the Titans on Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of titansonline.com reports.

Tennessee opted to part ways with its 2015 fifth rounder Tuesday mainly due to depth complications at running back. The Titans acquired both DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry in the offseason to dominate the team's rushing attack in 2016, making Cobb an expendable piece. The 23-year-old still has time to land with another club before the regular season rolls around, but time is definitely ticking.
