Jake Rudock: Could be option in Chicago

The Bears hosted Rudock for a workout Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

The Bears are in search of quarterback depth because Mitchell Trubisky is dealing with a shoulder injury. Rudock hasn't played a game since 2017 when he played just a handful of offensive snaps. Tyler Bray is the favorite to be Nick Foles' backup, but Rudock could be a practice squad option. Kyle Sloter joined Rudock for Wednesday's workout.
