The Patriots signed McDermott to a two-year, $3.6 million contract extension Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
New England inked McDermott midway through the 2022 season off the Jets' practice squad, and he did enough to earn a new two-year deal with the team. His new contract includes $750,000 in playing-time incentives. As Yates notes, McDermott finished the final six games of the 2022 season as the Patriots' starting right tackle.
