Rams' Jake Hummel: Placed on injured reserve

Hummel (hip) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.

Hummel appears to have suffered the injury during Thursday's practice, as he did not have an injury tag to begin the week. He was already ruled out for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay prior to the move to injured reserve, but he'll now miss at least the next four weeks. Hummel played exclusively on special teams through seven games, racking up four total tackles.
