Rams' Landen Akers: Promoted to active roster

The Rams elevated Akers to the active roster Saturday for Sunday's game against the Packers, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.

Akers was signed by the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State this offseason. The 6-foot wideout will have an opportunity to make his NFL debut Sunday after being added to the active roster for the first time in his career.
