Dowell will not return to Thursday's game against Buffalo after suffering a concussion, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Dowell has played almost exclusively on special teams this season, and he's recorded five total tackles across nine games. His absence shouldn't change the Saints' defensive outlook significantly.
