Morstead was signed to the practice squad as insurance in case Rigoberto Sanchez could not recover from his foot injury in time to suit up for the Colts' Week 7 game against the Vikings. With Sanchez's injury designation being removed ahead of Sunday's contest, there is no need for the team to keep Morstead around.
