Tre Nixon: Waived/injured by New England

The Patriots waived/injured Nixon (shoulder) on Tuesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Nixon left the Patriots' second preseason game with a shoulder injury. Should he go unclaimed on waivers, Nixon will revert to injured reserve. He caught four passes for 23 yards in the preseason opener.
